King (a.k.a. "Chinook") Salmon top
King Salmon Fillet - Chinook FilletThere’s a reason it’s called “King” Salmon. Simply put King Salmon is the Finest Salmon in the world. Don’t be fooled into buying “Chum” or “Silver” Salmon, although Silvers are pretty and bright red in appearance, they often lack the oil content and Omega 3’s that give King Salmon the rich taste that sets it apart from the rest. King Salmon can range in color from bright Orange to slightly pale, but rest assured, if it’s “King” it’s King! Don’t be lured into supermarket Farmed Atlantic Salmon either, although it’s cheap, remember "You Get What You Pay For!!"

Unloaded across our very own dock, these shrimp are processed and vacuum canned to retain their flavor. If you’ve never had Morro Bay salad shrimp you’ve been missing out, just one bite and you’ll see what all the fuss is about.

Locally caught in the summer and fall months, Sea Bass is Simply Amazing Grilled or Baked, Herb Crusted, or Simply Salted.

Sand Dabs top
Sand DabsQuite hard to find if you don’t know where to look, Sand Dabs are the buttery little brother to Petrale Sole. One of the smallest in the Sole Family, Sand Dabs although thin when fillets, are firm enough to pan fry, or sauté. You’ll find them only on upscale restaurant menus, and often served on the bone, then fillets are lifted off with forks by the server. Don’t be afraid all the bones are attached to the spiny and remove quite easily. Truly a delightful and somewhat unknown delicacy.

Lingcod Fillet top
Ling Cod FilletOne of the larger in the cod category, Lingcod offers a few characteristics that some of the other don’t. Lingcod is known to be one of the mildest fish in the ocean, and also has a slightly more delicate texture than Rock Cod, although it’s fillets are quite thick and hold up surprisingly well considering their tenderness. Great for Fish Tacos, Steamed Fish, or any fish recipe in the Oven or on the Stove. Lingcod is just one of those fish a market has to have.
